Fail loud
Zach Saunders, security researcher in Auckland. I built DEAD, an entropy daemon that stops and says so when its randomness goes bad.
Randomness, governed
Moving Target Defence hides hosts by changing their addresses every epoch. My MCS thesis found that its randomness fails in the coordination, not the cryptography. Five ways it fails: independent seeding, a shared seed without epochs, misaligned epoch boundaries, key reuse across epochs, and silence.
